GamePoint ("we", "us", or "our") operates the GamePoint mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use GamePoint.

By using GamePoint, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account information: First name, last name, email address, and password (stored securely as a hash) when you register.
Location data: Your GPS location to show you nearby basketball courts and to verify court check-ins. Location is only accessed when you are using the App and have granted permission.
Activity data: Court check-ins, session history, skill level, and court chat messages you voluntarily share within the App.
Video content: Highlight clips you record or upload. Videos are stored in secure cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) and are accessible via the shareable link you control.
Referral data: Your unique invite code and records of friends who signed up using it, used to calculate referral rewards.
Usage data: How you interact with the App (screens visited, features used) to improve the experience.
Device information: Device type, operating system, and push notification token to deliver notifications you opt into.

How We Use Your Information

To show you live activity at courts near you
To allow other players to see your check-ins and activity (only what you choose to share)
To verify that you are physically present at a court when checking in
To store and serve your highlight clips via shareable links
To send you push notifications about court activity (if you enable them)
To send transactional emails — including welcome messages, email verification, trial expiry reminders, and referral reward notifications
To calculate and apply referral programme rewards
To improve and maintain the App
To respond to support requests

Location Data

GamePoint uses your GPS location to find courts near you and to verify that you are physically present at a court when checking in. We do not continuously track your location in the background — location is accessed only while you are actively using the App. We do not sell or share your precise location with third parties.

Sharing Your Information

Your first name, last initial, skill level, and activity (check-ins, court participation) are visible to other GamePoint users by design — this is the core function of the App. Highlight clips you share are accessible to anyone with the clip's link, including people without a GamePoint account.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties except:

Cloudflare R2 — cloud storage provider used to host your highlight clips, under data processing agreements
Resend — transactional email provider used to send verification and notification emails, under confidentiality obligations
Payment processor — when you subscribe to Pro, billing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). GamePoint does not store your payment card details.
When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the App settings, which will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days. Highlight clips are permanently deleted from cloud storage within 30 days of account deletion or manual clip removal.

Children's Privacy

GamePoint is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access-controlled cloud storage. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
