GamePoint ("we", "us", or "our") operates the GamePoint mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use GamePoint.

Account information: Username, email address, and password (stored securely) when you register.
Location data: Your approximate location to show you nearby basketball courts and activity. Location is only accessed when you are using the App and have granted permission.
Activity data: Game check-ins, court activity, player counts, and skill level you voluntarily share within the App.
Usage data: How you interact with the App (screens visited, features used) to improve the experience.
Device information: Device type, operating system, and push notification token to deliver notifications you opt into.

How We Use Your Information

To show you live activity at courts near you
To allow other players to see your check-ins and activity (only what you choose to share)
To send you push notifications about court activity (if you enable them)
To improve and maintain the App
To respond to support requests

Location Data

GamePoint uses your location to find courts near you and to associate your check-ins with a court. We do not continuously track your location in the background. Location is used only while you are actively using the App. We do not sell or share your precise location with third parties.

Sharing Your Information

Your username, skill level, and activity (check-ins, game participation) are visible to other GamePoint users by design — this is the core function of the App. You can control your privacy settings in your account.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties except:

Service providers who help us operate the App (e.g., cloud hosting, email delivery) under confidentiality obligations
When required by law

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the App settings, which will remove your personal information from our systems within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

GamePoint is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and hashed passwords. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
